Head coach Tommy Tuberville has a new offensive coordinator Tony Franklin. Franklin has implemented a spread offense, which should provide much enthusiasm for Tigers faithful. Whose starting quarterback is an open question. Sophomore Kodi Burns and junior college transfer Chris Todd still compete for the starting job after the team of spring training is over. Burns improved by a passer this spring and its ability to dual threat as a runner makes it more likely option. But wait Todd, who has a better understanding of the spread offense. Todd signed with pass-crazy Texas Tech before moving to Junior College after two seasons.

Burns was the backup quarterback last season. Franklin resumed the offensive in December and it burns a chance to play in the Chick-fil-A Bowl. Burns has finally launched a touchdown pass and run for the game-winning touchdown in overtime.

The racing game will be a group effort led by Ben Tate. Tate rushed for 903 yards and eight touchdowns last season. Senior Brad Lester will also have some carries. The rapidly Lester rushed for 530 yards and three touchdowns last season. Mario Fannin and Tristan Figure Davis also see some carries.

The receiving corps will be led by former walk on Rod Smith. Smith caught 52 passes for 705 yards last season. Senior James Swinton and Robert Dunn also out, but many recipients will see action in this crime.

Auburn should field one of the best offensive lines with the SEC. Senior Tyronne Green (guard) and Jason Bosley (center) will join sophomores Ryan Pugh Chaz Ramsey and Lee Ziemba. The three sophomores started last season, including winning big in "The Swamp" against Florida.

Muschamp went to Texas for what is done by Paul Rhoads as defensive coordinator. Sen'Derrick Marks moves to address. Marks, 43 tackles last season. End Antonio Coleman had 18 tackles for loss this season past and the figures of the leading artist bag.

Linebacker Tray Blackmon is back for his junior season. Blackmon missed four games and played in a bad ankle last season, but managed to record 45 tackles. Outside linebackers Craig Stevens and Chris Evans also return.

Rhoads has already made their mark on this defense, passing Aairon Savage, cornerback safety in the spring. Strong safety Zac Etheridge is the leading returning tackler season squad last.

Wes Bynum will handle the kicking duties. Bynum nailed 17 field goals as a freshman last season really, whose last game of the second prize in Florida. Punter Ryan Shoemaker also returns. Shoemaker averaged 42.4 yards per punt last season.

Auburn struggles last season offensive led Tuberville to go with Franklin and his spread attack. If the computer can learn and execute the attack, the Tigers figure to have a deadly offense to go with a defense stingy. Auburn must end with a Top-10 ranking and a BCS bowl game. A unit of play in October in West Virginia could play an important role in the aspirations national title.
