college football bowl games

Entering the 10th week of college football game, there were 8 teams remaining undefeated Texas, Alabama, Penn State, Texas Tech, Utah, Boise State, Ball State and Tulsa. Penn State was 9-0, Boise State and Tulsa are 7-0 and the other 5 were 8-0.
Everybody pays attention knew whether Texas or Texas Tech could suffering his first defeat as they played together at Texas Tech Few people knew the vulnerability of Utah, Boise State, Ball State and Tulsa suffered their first defeat.
The Top 25 AP Poll had Texas as 1 st, 2 Alabama, 3 Penn State, Texas Tech 6, Utah 10 Boise State 11, Ball State 18 Tulsa 19 th century.
Classifications Jeff Sagarin Football Ratings and annex does not draw much national media attention, 65 representatives who voted each week to determine the AP Top 25 Poll. Experts not speak or write about Sagarin very often, but not much to learn from careful statistical analysis Sagarin's.
For example, a world of difference between Texas and Tulsa. Exceeding the 10 th week of play, Texas, deserved to be 1st in the AP poll with a 8-0 record and Sagarin strength of schedule (SOS), 18. In other words, Texas' SOS 18th place means that the Longhorns have played a similar schedule to meet between 25 teams each week.
Tulsa in 19th place the AP with a record of 7-0 and a score of 131st SOS does not deserve. The Golden Hurricane rank 131st SOS means that they have played a similar schedule to meet a team Division 1-AA every week. There are only 119 teams in Division 1-A.
You can argue with some credibility that are 82 teams in the U.S. that could Tulsa beat since losing 30-23 Saturday (11-1-08) in Arkansas, where a team that was 3-5 in the bottom of the classification of the SEC West, and was also the position number 83 by Sagarin.
The point is that there is no way on God's Green Earth team Tulsa 19th best in the country. It is notable that the Golden Hurricane and the City of Tulsa has had a career in Nice 7-0 start their season against certain Standards 1-A competition. Size of the balance sheet of Tulsa is 8-0, but everyone does ignored the victory of Central Arkansas is not even a Division 1-A or 1-AA school, but a school in Section II. Damn, what's next, the local team high school?
8-0 Ball State's Mark and 18 in the AP ranking is nothing to write home to mother about either. The Cardinals are 116th Classification SOS that still means they have played the equivalent of a 1-AA every week. Have fat against many weak teams.
Boise State is not much better with his 11 th AP ranking and 110 instead of SOS classification. There is no way Boise State is the 11th best team in the country, even if the Broncos can shut a team of New Mexico 2-5 State 49-0 Saturday. At least the Broncos a victory over the quality of Oregon on the road, which is more of Tulsa and Ball State can say.
When Tulsa Ball State and Boise State has begun to win every week, the idea was to run the table (going undefeated) and slip into a small bowl to the BCS national recognition and a fat paycheck large size. There is nothing wrong with your intentions. They just can not do and, incidentally, there is no way Boise State is the 11th best team in the country.
Texas Tech is 6th in the AP and the SOS has a ranking of 91. Give Red Raiders, which has enabled and knocked off No. 1 Texas 39-33. You can bet that his ranking up from SOS a team of game No. 1 ranking. Entering the game, Texas had an SOS rank 18 the best of the undefeated teams.
For the record, Alabama, had a SOS ranking of 49, Penn State was 63 and Utah 94. Alabama, Arkansas State 35-0 Utah excluding Saturdays and just start with a 4-5 New Mexico team 13-10, which shows the weakness Utes of Utah and are actually are 10th in the Associated Press poll, which is ridiculous. Utah has yet to face TCU and BYU.
Penn State and Ball State was idle this week.
The reality is that 4 of 8 undefeated teams-Texas, Alabama, Penn State and Texas Tech-deserves to be ranked in the AP and the other 4 in Utah, Boise State, Ball State and Tulsa, or do not deserve to be in the top 25 of the AA or should be ranked much lower.
